The Microbiological or PSM security post is a ventilated enclosure designed to ensure the protection of the user and the environment from biological pathogens, by a ventilation that opposes an exit to the manipulator and a very high efficiency filtration of the air Prior to rejection or recycling.
Type I PSM :
Type I PSM are ventilated, partially open speakers on the front. The air from the laboratory is sucked through the opening and through the working volume. It is then extracted after filtration at very high efficiency. The incoming air flow opposes the pollutants, but the protection of the handled products is not ensured.
Type II PSM :
The type II PSM are also partially open speakers on the front. Their peculiarities reside in the ventilation of their working volumes by a one-way flow descending from filtered air.
Type III PSM :
Type III PSM are speakers whose operating principles differ from the previous ones. Their volume of work in depression does not have a direct opening to the laboratory: access to the handling is ensured by two flexible sleeves finished with gloves.
