Hygiene in nurseries and chlidcare centers is very important to limit microbiological contamination among children, from children to toys, from children to staff... Procedures of cleaning and disinfection in nurseries must be established, and even more importantly, must be correctly applied, which is still not automatic. The used agents should not be harmful for children in case of mouthing toys, for example. The IBL Specifik's airborne disinfecting systems can solve these problems.
Those agents must absolutely be approved for "food contact", according to the decree of September 8, 1999.
Good hygiene in nurseries is obtained if the procedures given by the cleaning and disinfection products' provider are correctly applied.
Hygiene in nurseries also depends on the staff's hygiene, as they are in constant contact with children. That is why hand washing is the first step to respect. Every risk of infection is increased in this environment, specially due to the constant contact from children to toys.
IBL Specifik recommends its airborne disinfection equipment: MINIBIO to disinfect the nursery every night the children come back the next morning. This machine disinfects every surface and object in the nursery (furniture, diapers, toys, stuffed animals...). In addition, the disinfecting agent used (APABIO) is not harmful to children and is totally biodegradable (decomposes into water and oxygen).
Equipment for disinfection in nurseries recommended by IBL Specifik :
To clean surfaces before disinfecting the nursery, IBL Specifik recommends steam cleaning, which uses high pressure and high temperature and thus eliminates biofilms and decontaminates surfaces.
Examples of use:
- Floor cleaning with steam
- Disinfection of furniture, toys, stuffed animals
- Disinfection of baby bottles
- Cleaning and disinfection of diapers
